About The Diary

I was born, I have a name, an identity and the beginning of a life, but times can be tough. I need a place to vent, somewhere to post my thoughts when I feel like I’m drowning and hopefully let others know they’re not alone. Mental health has a stigma attached to it and no matter how hard I try to change this, I think people are set in their ways and hold their beliefs close to their hearts. Yet this diary is important to me and I’ll post here when I have nowhere else to turn to and there’s nobody to talk to.

If you’re going to become a regular reader, I hope I don’t murder your happy little spirits too badly. Yes, do take that as a warning. Most of the content will be full of the usual pessimistic cheer.

Maybe my happiness will destroy your sadness. I’ve been known to be quite the funny bastard. 🙂

Thanks for your response and I’ll be waiting for you to post the world’s funniest joke. Like the Monty Python sketch where everybody who reads the joke dies of laughter. 😉

Uhh…. I feel sorry for people who don’t drink or do drugs. Because someday they’re going to be in a hospital bed, dying, and they won’t know why.

…I’m more of a naturally witty “I’ll throw a comment in there and you’ll fall off your chair laughing” kind of guy rather than a joke teller. Obviously.

    Hi Raindrops,

I just wanted you to know that you have a great blog going here. I have a lot of friends who are struggling with mental illness and I can emphatise with what you are going through. I find writing to be very therapeutic and hope it is the same for you.
